Our Story

Greendale Farm’s mushroom growing facility is located on the productive Canterbury Plains, only 30 minutes from Christchurch.

Established in 1997, Greendale Farm is one of only two commercial-scale mushroom farms in New Zealand’s South Island.

Greendale Farm has been owned and operated by George Gibb since 2016, having left a successful career in the food industry to return to his first love – farming. George is from a North Canterbury farming family, who have been proudly working the land and producing food for five generations, over 125 years.
